Meet our Alphafriends!

Today we were introduced to our first two alphafriends. We will meet every alphafriend by harvest break. This is a list of the sayings and motions that go with each alphafriend. Please practice these with your children at home.

Pretend to bite an apple. Reach up for the honey in the tree and put it in your mouth. Clean your whiskers with one hand. Open and close your hand in a quacking motion. Wave one arm like an elephant trunk. One hand sets on top of the other hand with thumbs wiggling like fins. Put your hands behind you like tail feathers and waddle. Gallop with your hands on your lap. Extend and wave index finger up and down. Pretend to jump rope. Make a fist with each hand and put arms in ‘boxing’ position. Extend fingers around face to form ‘mane’. Hold a piece of cheese to your lips. Wave finger in front of body in a ‘no’ motion. Wave your arms out to the side of your body. Make a pig noise. Place a ‘crown’ on head. Put hands under arms and flap wings. Move your hand in a swimming motion. Extend arms to the side of body and shake pretend bars of a cage. Place hand on head like holding an umbrella. With hands together move them up in front of your face and out to make an exploding “v”. Lock fingers and make a waving motion with hands and arms. Cross arms in front of chest. Pretend to yo-yo. Place hands together next to cheek and ‘sleep’.
